Particularly in the case where there is a spare way on the distribution board, modified BS88 J fuse handles can be supplied which have a voltage tap on the outgoing side of the handle and can be used either with a fuse fitted or a blanking plate to provide a busbar voltage tap for the GridKey MCU. The tap is in the form of a 4mm banana socket which is compatible with the voltage lead sets.

Available in 83mm and 92mm sizes, the fuse handles are supplied in packs of 3 ways. It should be noted that a neutral connection is also required; this is typically done using a voltage clamp.
